This week’s Monday Motivation is a reminder to celebrate your progress and to try setting aside any negative self criticism that is holding you back.

 
 

 
 

 
 

As dancers and athletes, we sometimes get so focused on reaching for perfection that we forget to appreciate how far we have already come in our training. The next time you get caught up in criticizing yourself because you wish you were “perfect”, take a moment instead to celebrate your progress and how much you have already improved and grown. Progress is more important than the unattainable ideal of perfection. Look at how far your determination and hard work has already taken you, and think of how far you can go!
