The countless opportunities that appear in life all hold the possibility to shape your journey in different ways. It’s easy to decide to take certain opportunities because we can immediately tell they are right for us and we can see exactly where they lead. Some we might decide to pass up because we can tell they do not lead in the direction we want to go. Most often, though, opportunities appear as a door to the unknown, and it’s impossible to predict where we will end up if we step through.
Even if an opportunity sounds exciting and incredible and you know in your heart it will lead to amazing things, the unknown can still feel a little scary and intimidating. It can be difficult to convince yourself that new opportunities will help you learn, grow, and improve in ways you would never expect. Change is hard but adapting to new situations and environments holds the incredible potential to learn something new that you may have never known. The important thing to recognize about opportunities is that taking a chance to expand what you already know about the world will more often than not lead to even more amazing opportunities while strengthening and expanding the abilities you already possess.
And, amazingly, you will rarely ever be left with fewer options than what you had before taking on a new opportunity. Through trusting yourself and challenging yourself to take on new adventures, you will gain more experience and become even more qualified for whatever comes your way. In fact, as this quote tells us, by doing more and learning through different experiences as they arrive, you will actually start to see more and more doors opening around you, all full of endless potential.
