Monday motivation
“It’s not what you say out of your mouth that determines your life, it’s what you whisper to yourself that has the most power.”
-Robert T. Kiyosaki
It’s easy to tell ourselves that self confidence and worth only come from hearing positive feedback and recognition from people around us. However, the most steadfast and lasting confidence often comes from truly being able to believe in your own worth by acknowledging your own value. By strengthening an ability to speak to yourself with kindness, you grow the skill to always hold on to the strength you have within.
If you find yourself constantly criticizing yourself and telling yourself you’re not good enough, those words can begin to impact the way you go about your life. We often give other people so much more compassion and forgiveness than we would afford to ourselves, but what if we started to talk to ourselves with just as much appreciation? The way you choose to speak to yourself has an impact, and you can decide to use those words in a positive way.
This week, notice what you’re telling yourself, perhaps without even realizing it. Are you using your inner voice negatively, or are you using it to build yourself up in a positive way? Be kind to yourself.
Have a wonderful week!
