Ballet Fun Fact! The 32 fouettés originated from Italian Ballerina Pierina Legnani. Marius Petipa, the original choreographer of Swan Lake, knew that she could perform 32 consecutive fouettés and added them to showcase her talent. (source- Boston Ballet)
