“It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than anything else, will affect its successful outcome.”
-William James
If you face challenging tasks with confidence and determination to do your best no matter the circumstances, you automatically begin from a place of readiness. However, if you approach a situation with doubt and uncertainty before you’ve even begun, you have already slowed down your progress and let yourself down before giving your best efforts. The way we approach a task or a goal will often determine how well we are able to carry ourselves through challenges along the way. Take the time to fully believe in your capabilities. Being realistic about the hard work ahead is different than telling yourself you aren’t capable. It can be good to acknowledge the time you will need to spend to get to the outcome you want, but it is what you tell yourself about your ability to reach that outcome that can carry you through. It’s completely normal to be uncertain of if you will be able to reach a goal, but beginning towards it with determination and confidence instead of doubt and fear can make all the difference. Often, just beginning a difficult task is the best start to achieving what you want.
Have a wonderful week!
